1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Victorian Lords Ltd website and our haulage, logistics and transport services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Victorian Lords Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales with its registered office at 10 Ivernia Avenue, Brooklands, Milton Keynes, MK10 7HR.

2. Services

Victorian Lords operates as a haulage broker and transport provider. We match your load requirements with appropriate carriers from our verified network. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • 44 tonne articulated haulage (HGV Class 1 / C+E)
  • Box trailer transport
  • Refrigerated and temperature-controlled haulage
  • Curtainsider and mega trailer services
  • Tail lift vehicle deliveries
  • Traction services (tractor unit and driver)

3. Quotes and Bookings

All quotes provided are subject to availability and may be subject to change based on actual load details, access requirements or fuel surcharges. A quote does not constitute a binding contract until confirmed in writing by Victorian Lords.

By confirming a booking, you agree to provide accurate information regarding load weight, dimensions, collection and delivery requirements, and any hazardous or restricted goods.

4. Your Responsibilities

As a customer, you are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete load information
  • Ensuring goods are properly packaged and labelled
  • Ensuring collection and delivery sites are accessible and safe for vehicles
  • Disclosing any hazardous, prohibited or restricted goods
  • Being available or having a representative available at collection and delivery

5. Liability

Victorian Lords operates in accordance with the Road Haulage Association (RHA) Conditions of Carriage 2020. Our liability for loss or damage to goods in transit is limited as set out in those conditions.

We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: adverse weather, road closures, vehicle breakdowns, industrial action or government restrictions.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special losses arising from our services.

6. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as agreed at the time of booking. Unless otherwise stated, invoices are due within 30 days of the invoice date. Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

7. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable). Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled collection may incur a cancellation fee. The fee will be communicated at the time of cancellation.

8. Insurance

All carriers within our network hold appropriate goods-in-transit insurance and public liability insurance. Details of cover limits are available on request. We recommend customers maintain their own goods insurance for high-value consignments.

9. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:

  • Use the site in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website
  • Introduce viruses, malware or other harmful material
  • Reproduce, duplicate or copy any content without permission

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images and software — is the property of Victorian Lords Ltd and is protected by UK and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce any content without prior written consent.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
